Job Summary

Manage faculty recruitment, onboarding, and administration for 60 teaching artists, including contract issuance, record maintenance, and placement coordination. Oversee faculty communications, scheduling, and professional development while serving as the primary resource for lesson planning, classroom resources, and program logistics. Administer faculty observations and program evaluations, support bi-weekly payroll processing, and coordinate special events and partnership initiatives. Provide last-minute weekend substitute coverage and teach when needed. Support grant applications, student recommendations, and annual goal tracking. Work closely with the School Operations Manager and Director of Education to ensure high-quality educational experiences for students of all abilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Arts Administration, Education, Dance, Performing Arts, Nonprofit Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience coordinating educational programs, faculty, or operations, preferably within a nonprofit, performing arts, or educational setting
  • Experience supporting the recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and administration of teaching artists, instructors, or similar staff
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to support classes, performances, events, meetings, and professional development activities
  • Ability to provide last-minute substitute teaching coverage, when needed
  • Successful completion of all required pre-employment screenings, including background checks, as applicable
  • Ability to travel locally between program sites, when required
  • Commitment to supporting an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming learning environment for students, families, faculty, and staff
  • Willingness to complete written Fire Guard Certification test
  • Knowledge of best practices in arts education, faculty support, and program administration
  • Strong organizational, project management, and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with faculty, families, colleagues, and external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships and provide exceptional customer service
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing program needs
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential or sensitive information
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based collaboration tools
  • Ability to analyze information, identify solutions, and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging in educational programming and workplace practices

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience coaching, mentoring, observing, or evaluating teaching artists, educators, or instructional staff
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working collaboratively across departments and with diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with Mindbody or similar scheduling software and payroll/timekeeping systems
