Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive physical assessments to identify motor skill deficits and develop individualized education programs (IEPs) based on findings. Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to improve students' strength, mobility, and coordination while implementing evidence-based techniques tailored to each child's needs. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into educational plans, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain accurate records of assessments and progress. Prepare quarterly student progress reports, educate staff on mobility strategies, and advocate for necessary accommodations within the school setting. This role serves K-12 students across multiple schools in Elkton and North East, requiring an active Maryland PT license and experience in pediatric settings.

Required Qualifications

  • PT State Licensure In MD
  • Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Valid license to practice physical therapy in the state of Maryland
  • Educator Certificate (if applicable)
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
  • Strong clinical skills in pediatric physical therapy assessment, intervention, and documentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with school team members and family/caregivers
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the school-aged students
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
