Job Summary
Provide direct, consultative and indirect service in schools, homes and community settings to support the educational and developmental motor needs of children with disabilities (birth to 21 years), their families, and their educational teams. Participate in screening and comprehensive assessment of students with orthopedic/physical or motor impairment; determine eligibility; develop integrated goals with education staff for students on caseload; prepare and implement IEPs/IFSPs; design and adapt materials and equipment; lead in the assessment, selection, training, management and use of assistive technology; instruct staff in positioning, handling and mobility; monitor programs and data; collaborate with families and professionals; participate in state/federal testing requirements; maintain compliance with regulations and participate in ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Valid ESA certification as a School Physical Therapist or able to obtain ESA certification
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy education program and successful completion of field work within the physical therapy profession
- Valid PT License in the State of Washington
- Successfully complete Washington State Patrol background check
