Job Summary
Travel to local schools in Bemidji, MN using your personal vehicle to set up, capture genuine smiles during photo day events, and pack down equipment. Organize and manage images using photo software while working independently after training. Transport, set up, and take down photography gear for events, occasionally staying overnight with paid hotel and per diem. Start early, as driving begins at 4 AM, and work an average of 30+ hours per week with overtime during peak seasons. This seasonal role runs through November, extending into December if event schedules allow. Paid training covers all technical skills, with no prior photography experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Must reside in Bemidji, MN or surrounding areas
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18+
- A reliable, insured vehicle
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Willingness to start early (driving start times as early as 4 AM!) and occasional extended hours when travel is involved
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of camera equipment
- Ability to store camera equipment in home when not in use
- A cheerful, friendly personality
- Comfortable working in a school environment with children of all ages and abilities
- Strong communication, customer service, and tech skills
- Comfort working independently for smaller events after training
- Comfortable working with computers / cameras and ability to learn new programs
- Grooming and professional appearance that reflects Jostens' standards
- Reliable cell phone and internet access
- Must be able to travel to schools, as scheduled, for photo day events
