Job Summary
Seasonal School Photographer in Allentown, PA responsible for capturing genuine school memories by traveling to local schools in a personal vehicle, setting up and breaking down photography equipment, and using photo software to organize images. No photography experience required; paid training provided. Compensation includes hourly pay ($19.50-$21.50), 401(k) match eligibility from day one, paid travel time and mileage reimbursement, potential for promotion to a Photo Team Lead, and daily pay options. Expect early start times (as early as 4 AM), up to 30+ hours per week with overtime during peak periods, and occasional overnight travel with hotel and per diem. Key duties include transporting equipment, arranging photo day events, and delivering high-quality school memories while engaging with students and staff.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (must be 18+)
- Reliable, insured vehicle and valid U.S. driver’s license
- Willingness to start early (driving start times as early as 4 AM) and occasional extended hours when travel is involved
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of camera equipment
- Ability to store camera equipment in home when not in use
- Comfortable working in a school environment with children of all ages and abilities
- Strong communication, customer service, and tech skills
- Travel to schools, as scheduled, for photo day events
- Grooming and professional appearance that reflects Jostens’ standards
- Local background/health screenings as determined by state policies
