Job Summary
Monitors and assists both pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the mornings and late afternoon in school zones; applies knowledge of traffic laws and uses traffic signals to safely cross children; communicates with School Patrol Officer Supervisor to report issues in the school zone; must meet regular attendance requirements and maintain good interpersonal relationships; performs essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations, including standing, walking, and directing traffic outdoors in all weather; training will be provided for those selected; pre-employment checks and background screenings are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to stand and move in appropriate places to direct children and drivers using designated signals
- Prior experience is preferred, but training will be provided
- Criminal backgrounds will be performed on all candidates
- Must have own transportation to job site
- willing to work outdoors in all types of weather
