Job Summary
Occupational Therapist (School) role at Y.A.L.E. School: provide experiences and supervision of assigned students in a safe, supportive, therapeutic environment, using data to drive therapy sessions and IEP goals, prepare progress reports, and address the needs of diverse learners through leadership and professionalism. Collaborate with other staff and parents to meet student goals; may be required to work at multiple locations. Focus on pediatric occupational therapy within a school setting for students with disabilities aged 3 to 21, including collaboration with special education teams and ongoing data-driven therapy aligned to IEP objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a New Jersey Department of Education certification as a School Occupational Therapist.
- Have at least two years previous school/pediatric OT experience.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of effective occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
