Job Summary
Provide occupational therapy services in a school-based setting to support students' participation in educational activities. Perform evaluations, develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals, and deliver direct and consultative therapy interventions. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary school teams to support student progress and accommodations. Maintain compliant documentation consistent with district, state, and federal guidelines, including progress notes and IEP reports. Participate in team meetings and contribute to functional recommendations for classroom adaptations and assistive technology when indicated. Work approximately 7.5 hours per day Monday through Friday for a 42-week school year in Federal Way, WA.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program
- Current Washington state OT license in good standing with the State License Board
- NBCOT Certification
- Educator's License or eligibility for school-based credentials in Washington
- Experience working in school-based settings, including conducting student assessments and developing IEPs
- Ability to provide 7.5 hours per day of onsite services consistent with district schedules and documentation requirements
- Clear background screening
- Willingness to comply with district onboarding requirements
