Job Summary
Receive, store, and maintain central dry and refrigerated food and supplies for Craven County Schools. Load and unload delivery vehicles, then distribute items to 22 schools while ensuring proper FIFO storage methods. Operate a forklift and other equipment to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally. Document accurate records for temperature maintenance and coordinate preventative maintenance on school nutrition equipment. Communicate food quality and delivery issues to the Warehouse Manager II. Requires a valid NC driver's license and high school graduation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school
- Experience with inventory control procedures and warehouse management
- Ability to comprehend procedures
- Ability to work in various inside and outside environments
- Ability to operate machines, motor vehicles, hand tools, and job specific equipment and tools
- Operate a forklift
- Must be able to: Walk, lift, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel and crouch
- Work in various inside and outside environments being subjected to weather changes, noise, vibrations, job hazards and atmospheric conditions
- Use visual acuity required for depth perception and color perception
- Operate machines, motor vehicles, hand tools, and job specific equipment tools
- Determine the accuracy and thoroughness of work
- Observe general surroundings and activities
- Hear sufficiently to accurately perceive information at normally spoken word levels
- Use communication by means of spoken and written words to express or exchange ideas
- Operate a forklift
- Valid NC Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
