Job Summary
Manages and supervises the school food service program in one or more schools, overseeing food production, menu adherence, inventory, purchasing, sanitation, safety, and staff supervision. Plans workflows, trains personnel, resolves operational issues, maintains quality standards, prepares reports on lunch programs (free/reduced/full-price), and coordinates with supervisors to ensure efficient cafeteria operations. Requires leadership skills, knowledge of sanitation and safety standards, budgeting and inventory control, and the ability to supervise staff, develop schedules, and communicate with students, parents, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma and two years experience in commercial or institutional food service, preferably in a school setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
