Job Summary
School Nutrition Assistant for Porter Ridge Cluster Floater 6.0 (Interim) – full-time position with benefits in Union County School Nutrition Services. Active daily responsibilities include serving good, wholesome nutritious meals to students, faculty and parents in a school cafeteria setting, ensuring compliance with health department regulations, and maintaining a clean dining and kitchen area (sweep, mop, take out trash). The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, being on the feet for much of the shift, and cashier duties for internal/external applicants with specific timelines. The position encompasses working in Elementary, Middle, and High School cafeterias with a fast-paced, safety- and service-focused environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must love children
- Be responsible and dependable in adherence to the work schedule
- Know what quality food and service looks like and deliver it in a polite, fun and engaging manner
- Internal applicants MUST know how to CASHIER and must have scored 3.0 or higher on last evaluation
- External applicants MUST PROFICIENTLY CASHIER WITHIN 30 DAYS OF BEING HIRED
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and be on your feet for a good part of the shift
