Job Summary
Prepare, serve, and store food while maintaining and cleaning all food service areas. Operate commercial foodservice equipment and perform cashiering duties under direct supervision. Ensure strict adherence to sanitation, safety, and cash management policies by completing required HACCP and food safety training. Maintain accurate production records and assist in quality food production to ensure adequate supplies and equipment. Demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to promote a positive cafeteria image while serving food graciously to adults and children.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalency
- Be able to communicate well with adults and children
- Possesses excellent customer service
- Possesses a willingness to learn and implement new techniques
- Knowledgeable of nutrition education information
- Employee is expected to possess interpersonal relationship skills necessary to maintain a harmonious work environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to withstand heat and standing for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Food service experience preferred
