Job Summary
School Nutrition Assistant and Bus Driver at Maiden High School. Responsibilities include assisting kitchen operations, food preparation, serving, cashiering, sanitation, inventory, ordering, payroll and attendance records, NSLP compliance, and assisting with staff development; also includes driving a school bus, following routes, monitoring student behavior, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, experience in institutional food preparation for SN Assistant, extensive driving experience and CDL/DBL requirements for Bus Driver, and knowledge of food safety practices (HACCP/USDA). Hours are part-time with multiple duties across food service and transportation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- SN Assistant: One to two years of experience in the preparation of foods in an institutional setting or childcare preferred
- Bus Driver: Five (5) years of responsible driving experience. Completion of the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles Bus Driver Training Course. Must pass DOT physical and drug screen. Must be eligible to hold a CDL with Passenger Endorsement.
