Job Summary
Assisting the School Nutrition Manager in overseeing kitchen operations to ensure nutritious meal delivery in a clean atmosphere. Responsibilities include food preparation, cooking, serving meals, maintaining health department standards, entering payroll and inventory, and supporting meal program compliance. Candidates should possess a relevant high school diploma or GED and have 1 to 2 years of experience in a food preparation role. Skills in communication, organization, and knowledge of food safety practices are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 1 to 2 years of experience in the preparation of foods in an institutional setting or childcare
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently in standard English
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments
- General knowledge of food preparation, standards of sanitation and safety, and HACCP procedures
