Job Summary
Provide school health services as a School Nurse to support the district's health services program. Responsibilities include nursing management of common acute and chronic conditions, injury and illness care, collaboration on Individual Healthcare Plans (IHP/IEP), immunization management, confidentiality, health education, and coordination with the district nurse and building administrator to promote student wellness and safe school operations. The role encompasses assessment, care planning, referrals, documentation, and training of staff in health topics, with adherence to district policies and state regulations. The position is employed for 188 days during the school term with benefits for full-time employees.
Required Qualifications
- Degree: Registered Professional Nurse (R.N.) OR Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.) under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse.
- License: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, licensed to practice in the state of Missouri. A copy of the current license must be on file in the office of the superintendent.
