School Nurse (SY26-27)

School Nurse at Boston Public Schools provides skilled nursing care and manages the special needs of students, including medication administration, immunization surveillance, and routine health screenings. Acts as a liaison between school, home, and outside medical facilities; develops health plans for students’ IEPs; promotes student wellness and maintains a healthy school environment. Responsibilities include emergency medical care, supervising medication administration, counseling students, conducting health evaluations and screenings, teaching health-related mini-courses, maintaining health records, participating in service team meetings, and providing staff training.
