School Nurse-RN Temporary Position

Temporary School Nurse position at Shelbyville High School providing maternity-leave coverage. Responsibilities include giving first aid and emergency care for students and staff, administering prescribed medications with documentation, maintaining student health records and immunization documentation, monitoring and responding to health concerns and referrals, developing and updating individualized student health care plans, ensuring compliance with state laws and district health policies, maintaining a clean and safe clinic environment, serving as a liaison between families, school staff, and community health providers, assisting with health screenings and health-related staff training, maintaining confidentiality and accurate clinic documentation, and monitoring emergency medical equipment (AEDs, first aid kits). Qualifications require a valid Indiana RN or LPN license and CPR certification, with at least 1 year of nursing experience preferred, plus strong communication and organizational skills and ability to work with students, staff, and families.
