Job Summary
School Nurse – RN/LPN responsible for nursing services across a designated zone of schools, including health screenings, immunization management, development of nursing care plans, medication administration, health education for students and families, and collaboration with physicians and community resources. Acts as liaison between physicians, families, and school staff, ensuring compliance with the Missouri Nursing Practice Act and maintaining accurate health records. May cover vacancies and special events, provide first aid and emergency care, and participate in safety drills and disaster preparedness. Required to be licensed in Missouri as an RN, ADN graduation, CPR/First Aid/AED certification, and proficient in Word and Excel; experience in school or medical settings preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in the State of Missouri as a Registered Nurse
- Graduation from an accredited Associate’s degree program in Nursing (ADN)
- Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification
- Proficiency in Word and Excel
- Experience in a school or medical setting
