Job Summary
Plan the school health program, monitor compliance with federal and state laws, and collaborate with child-support agencies. Provide medical examinations, first aid care, and health education to students while coordinating health records and adhering to strict confidentiality policies. Work closely with teachers, social workers, and parents to identify and meet the social, emotional, and physical needs of students. This role requires a current School Nurse certification in Illinois with at least three years of recent experience. Bilingual candidates (Spanish) with CPR and PALS certification are preferred. Full-time employment includes comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and a 4.03B matching plan, with a requirement for full COVID-19 vaccination or valid exemption for applicants after November 1, 2021.
Required Qualifications
- Have a current School Nurse certification in compliance with State/District Requirements for IL and RN
- Have a minimum of three (3) years recent experience as a school nurse
- Possess a deep understanding of federal, state, and local laws and regulations affecting the delivery of school health services
- For applicants who apply after 11/1/21, proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a valid medical or religious exemption required
