Job Summary
Plan the school health program, monitor compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and collaborate with child-support agencies. Provide medical examinations, instruct students in health education, and deliver first aid care while coordinating and maintaining confidential student health records. Adhere strictly to confidentiality policies and work closely with staff, parents, and social workers to meet students' social, emotional, and physical needs. This role requires current School Nurse certification, three years of recent experience, and bilingual Spanish skills.
Required Qualifications
- Have a current School Nurse certification in compliance with State/District Requirements for IL
- Have a minimum of three (3) years recent experience as a school nurse
- Possess a deep understanding of federal, state, and local laws and regulations affecting the delivery of school health services
Desired Qualifications
- You are bilingual (Spanish)
- You have CPR and PALS certification
