Job Summary
Administer first aid, medication, and specialized treatments for ill or injured students; respond to medical emergencies including seizures and allergic reactions with basic life support. Perform skilled nursing procedures such as ventilator care, gastrostomy feedings, and diabetes management while monitoring students across classrooms, transportation, and field trips. Serve as health specialist on evaluation teams to develop IEP and 504 plan components, and implement individual nursing care plans for students with disabilities. Develop and monitor state-mandated health screenings, manage communicable disease control, and provide health education to students and staff. Assist in forming district health policies, coordinate community health activities, and train staff on delegated health procedures. Maintain accurate cumulative student health records in compliance with legal standards.
Required Qualifications
- Hold current licensure from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing as a Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
- Hold a valid certificate as a School Nurse from the Oklahoma State Department of Education
- Bachelor's Degree
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Clean driving record
- Reliable transportation

- 3–5 years of experience as an RN working with children and adolescents
