Job Summary
Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders while overseeing the school health office for triage, injury response, and wellness checks. Monitor student health conditions, respond to emergency situations, and communicate with parents, school staff, and agency supervisors regarding student care. Maintain accurate and timely health records in compliance with NYC DOE and NYS DOH guidelines and ensure adherence to all public health protocols and nursing standards. This role offers a structured Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends, competitive pay with shift differentials, and opportunities for ongoing professional development and CEU support. Candidates must hold a current NYS RN license with at least two years of experience in pediatrics, public health, or school-based roles, along with CPR/BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 2 years of nursing experience in pediatrics, public health, or school-based roles
- CPR/BLS certification (required)
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to travel to various locations on a near daily basis
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
