Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care to students with acute or chronic conditions, including medication administration, wound care, and catheterization. Conduct health assessments, monitor vital signs, and respond to medical emergencies while maintaining accurate, confidential health records. Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to develop individualized health plans and support mental well-being as part of a multidisciplinary team. Educate families and staff on disease prevention and chronic condition management. Full-time onsite role at an Early Learning Center in West Richland, WA, starting September 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Nursing license in WA state
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Knowledge of pediatric health conditions and treatments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a school nurse
- Previous experience working in pediatric nursing
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
