Job Summary
The Reynoldsburg City Schools’ School Nurse is responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating school health services to support student attendance and achievement; ensures district compliance with Ohio Department of Health mandates and Ohio Revised Code; provides high-level nursing care for sick/injured students and staff, including emergency interventions, medication administration, and complex medical procedures; performs health screenings (hearing/vision), manages immunization records and referrals, and coordinates with parents/providers; develops individualized Healthcare Plans and participates in IEP/504 meetings; supervises Building Health Aides, educates staff on medical conditions, and maintains HIPAA/FERPA-compliant electronic health records; requires strong clinical judgment, communication with diverse stakeholders, and strict confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
- Valid Ohio RN license
- Ohio Pupil Services License (School Nurse) from Ohio Department of Education & Workforce (ODEW)
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
- Experience with pediatric populations or in a school health setting
