Job Summary
Provide assessment, treatment, and nursing care for students with illness or injury during the school day. Respond to medical emergencies, administer first aid, and manage Individualized Healthcare Plans and emergency care protocols. Maintain accurate, confidential student health records and immunization compliance while collaborating with families, faculty, and healthcare providers. Educate students on hygiene and illness prevention, and promote wellness through preventative care initiatives. Ensure compliance with Massachusetts Department of Public Health regulations and school policies. Assist in developing school-wide health programs and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Previous experience in a school, pediatric, public health, or community health setting preferred
- Knowledge of Massachusetts school health regulations and immunization requirements preferred
