Job Summary
Promote and maintain the health and well-being of students by providing services such as assessments, first aid, counseling and emergency care; administer medications under physician and parent guidance; maintain immunization records and comply with SC DHEC requirements; conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, dental, blood pressure), make referrals to medical resources, and develop Individualized Health Care Plans and Emergency Action Plans for students with chronic conditions; provide health education to students, staff, and parents; train health room assistants and staff; ensure confidentiality and maintain health-related records in accordance with district policies and OSHA standards; participate in school health initiatives and committees.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure to practice as a registered nurse in the state of South Carolina
- Two years recent nursing experience
- CPR certification
