Job Summary
Promote and maintain the health and well-being of students through nursing assessments, medication administration, immunization management, health screenings, and collaboration with parents and school staff. Provides first aid, emergency care, crisis support, health education, and referrals to outside resources; develops and maintains Health Care Plans and Emergency Action Plans; ensures compliance with SC DHEC guidelines and district policies; participates in preventive health activities and staff trainings; maintains confidential health records and reports.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure to practice as a registered nurse in the state of South Carolina
- Two years recent nursing experience, preferably in school nursing, public health nursing, or community health nursing with children
- CPR certification
