Job Summary
Nurse role within AL school setting under RN supervision; provide direct/indirect nursing services to students, including administration of medications per state curriculum; develop and implement individualized health care plans in collaboration with supervising RN, prescribers, and parents; communicate with RN and staff to keep plans current; perform nursing procedures such as gastric tube care, urinary catheterization, injections, tracheotomy care, and sterile techniques; document activities accurately; assist in health education and school health office operations; ensure FERPA/HIPAA confidentiality; 9-month contract at Creek View Elementary School, Alabama; collaborate with health care team to support student health and academic achievement; CPR certification required (may be obtained after employment) and Alabama LPN or RN license.
Required Qualifications
- Current Alabama license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
