Job Summary
Provide high quality nursing services to students in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Collect, maintain, and review student health records, ensure immunizations are current, and assess health pertinent to family history and home factors. Perform mandated screenings including vision, hearing, scoliosis, and TB testing. Act as a first responder during critical events and assist in developing individualized care plans with input from providers and educators. Coordinate with the Wellness Committee to develop health promotion services and integrate health solutions into educational settings. Assist in preparing reports for MDPH and relevant agencies. Work closely with the CSHC-CACPS Partnership Director to support communication between the school and health center for preventive services.
Required Qualifications
- A valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Massachusetts
- A valid School Nurse license
- A Bachelor's degree in nursing
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of two full years of employment as a nurse in a child health, community health, or other relevant clinical nursing setting
- School Nurse experience
