Job Summary
Monitor health conditions, administer medications, and ensure student safety throughout the school day in a 1:1 care setting. Perform patient care duties and treatments per care plan, including G-tube and feeding tube care, tracheostomy management, diabetes care, and seizure monitoring. Provide health promotion, counseling, and education while coordinating care with healthcare professionals. Document nursing notes daily and communicate with families and school staff. Work Monday through Friday during school hours with potential for bus rides or after-school needs. Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- LPN License issued by NYS
- 6 months bedside nursing experience
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Ability to work independently in a school setting
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must be able to stand/work for extended periods
