Job Summary
Provide temporary and emergency care for sick and injured students or staff; screen, evaluate, and refer for deficits in vision, hearing, and development; notify parents and coordinate medical care in emergencies; administer medications per district policy; develop and coordinate health program education; maintain health records and data; provide crisis intervention; monitor immunizations and communicable diseases; act as a health liaison among school, physicians, parents, and community; assess student problems and coordinate referrals with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Missouri state license to practice as a registered nurse (or LPN, where applicable)
- BSN in nursing (where applicable)
- Two years experience in a school setting or community health preferred
- CPR certified
- E-verify eligible
