Job Summary
Conduct non-medical, preventive counseling and consultation for military youth, faculty, staff, and parents at Southworth and Lackamas Elementary Schools. Visually observe, participate in activities with teens, and provide coaching, guidance, and support to staff and parents by modeling behavior management techniques. Offer presentations on social skills and emotional learning, promote creativity through approved materials, and build rapport by attending installation and community events. Assist families with transition adjustments for new schools and homes, while communicating trends to Team Leads. Work in school settings and outdoor environments, including rugged terrain and variable weather, responding to emergent situations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD)
- Valid independent license in the mental health field from any US state or territory (LCSW, MHC, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist)
- U.S. citizen
- Ability to pass a basic background check for employment, a Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) clearance, commonly called a Public Trust clearance
