Job Summary
Conduct individual, family, and group counseling sessions to address personal and environmental obstacles for students and families within Prince George's County Public Schools. Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans while collaborating with the school system and coordinating with local social service agencies to support access to community resources. Provide clinical mental health support ensuring services remain free of charge to clients by eliminating barriers like transportation and cost. This role embeds therapists into schools as part of a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to changing lives through professional development and comprehensive support.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess one of the following Maryland licenses at time of hire: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Must possess one of the following Maryland licenses at time of hire: Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C)
- Must possess one of the following Maryland licenses at time of hire: Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC)
- Must possess one of the following Maryland licenses at time of hire: Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
