Job Summary
Conduct preventative maintenance and repair of the Center facility, grounds, and systems while inspecting building equipment to ensure code and safety requirements are met. Supervise maintenance staff and oversee the training activities of Job Corps Work-Based Learning, leisure time student workers, and CTST students assigned to the Maintenance Department. Research and recommend purchase of replacement equipment as needed and coordinate activities with the CTT program if applicable. Maintain appropriate personal attendance, accountability, and work productivity standards while producing quality assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years experience in building maintenance
- knowledge of local building codes
- knowledge of carpentry
- knowledge of plumbing
- knowledge of electrical systems
- knowledge of heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems
- knowledge of boilers and other building systems
- valid in-State Drivers License
- ability to lift 40 pounds
- ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance
- Must work weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited school
- Previous lead or supervisory experience
