Job Summary
Prepare vegetables, make soups, sandwiches, and simple desserts, and slice meats for the district. Operate electrical equipment including mixers, peelers, and dishwashers while cleaning tables, counters, and kitchen ranges. Collect and wash dishes, utensils, and silverware, then store them properly. Sweep floors, clean equipment, and receive food deliveries. Assist with inventory, cashiering, and placing orders through the POS register system. Maintain good order in refrigerators and storerooms. This 10-month school kitchen position reports to the Food Service Director.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma
- Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
- Serv Safe Certified
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in food service industry preferred
