Job Summary
Provide first aid and health services in the school Health Office per district policies; administer medications according to physician orders and parent authorization; collect, update and maintain student health information; reinforce and support good health practices among students and staff; assist with collection and reporting of student immunization records in compliance with Minnesota Immunization Law and district policy; complete daily electronic entry of student concerns and interventions; organize Vision & Hearing screenings; collaborate with students, staff, and families to support student health and well-being; ensure effective communication with parents and district personnel regarding health concerns. Must hold an LPN license and current CPR/First Aid certification; proficient in basic office software and able to maintain accurate health records; strong written and oral communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Current and continuing certification in first aid and CPR
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with students, employees at all levels, and with others in the community
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others including high school students
- Basic knowledge of office practices such as filing systems and use of computer and software programs such as Excel and word processing
