School Health Aide GRPS Specialized Care

Provide direct student care under the delegation of the School Nurse, including first aid, medication administration, and emergency response. Collect vital signs, illness history, and communicate with the RN to determine student disposition while documenting all services and program data. Administer scheduled, as-needed, and emergency medications, tube feedings, diabetic management, and catheterization per Spectrum Health and district policies. Assist high-risk families access community resources, provide education on program focus, and coordinate health needs before school field trips. Act as the primary contact for health-related needs, mentor students and families to promote independence, and participate in social and physical evaluations.
