Job Summary
Lead a cross-functional team of food service workers and cooks to ensure top-quality meals and customer service at each location. Drive team development, build strong client relationships, and achieve profitability, safety, and engagement KPIs. Communicate with leadership to share best practices, mitigate risks, and champion diversity while serving as the brand ambassador for Genuine Foods. Collaborate with Sales, HR, and Finance teams on proposals, sales retention, and staffing needs. Ensure compliance with USDA, state, and local policies by conducting audits and offering improvement solutions. Own financial results and P&L for districts, managing reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. Manage succession planning and performance evaluations to build multi-unit management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in K-12 hospitality, food service, or a similar environment
- Previous experience in a leadership role with exposure to contract/budget management, customer service, people development, food services, negotiations, etc.
- Knowledge of growing a business, along with solid business and financial acumen or ability/desire to learn
- The ability to think quickly, analytically, strategically, and accurately
- Expert client relationship, influencing, presentation, listening, and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite and other computer skills
