Job Summary
Finance Manager for Assumption-St. Bridget School responsible for all accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance. Oversees Accounts Payable/Vendor Management, Accounts Receivable and Tuition Management, assets and endowments, payroll journal entries, and financial controls. Prepares monthly financial reports for the Parent Board, School Commission, and other stakeholders; ensures compliance with Archdiocese guidelines and regulatory requirements; collaborates with HR on payroll tasks and with the Advancement Office on donations. Requires proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and Google Workspace; involves coordination across multiple sources (FACTS, Blackbaud, Benevity) and managing tuition processes, endowment distributions, and annual budgeting efforts. This full-time, in-person role in Seattle may include occasional remote work with managerial approval; compensation starts at $30-$35 per hour (2080 hours/year) with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- Experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a non-profit or educational setting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, financial reporting, bookkeeping, reconciliations
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Google Office (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Drive)
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to translate financial data for stakeholders
