Job Summary
Perform janitorial and cleaning tasks within assigned areas to meet quality standards and safety guidelines. Dust mop and damp mop floors in classrooms and common spaces, clean and sanitize bathrooms, and remove trash from wastebaskets. Use protective gear during all functions and follow infection control protocols to maintain a sanitary environment. Respond promptly to paging system alerts and customer requests, reporting equipment needs or malfunctions to supervisors. Complete cleaning assignments on schedule while standing and walking for 6-8 hours daily.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently
- Must complete all responsibilities without supervision after training
- Must be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts
- Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours daily
- Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds
- Must be able to work around food and cleaning products
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies, as required by state, local, and/or customers
- Must provide a criminal background check
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous custodial/janitorial experience in a school setting preferred
