Job Summary
As a School Crossing Patrol Officer, you will help keep the community safe by ensuring children and others cross the road at a designated point between specified times, primarily during school opening and closing periods. Training in safe crossing procedures is provided, and PVG scheme membership is required prior to appointment. The role requires daily attendance in all weather conditions, good road sense and knowledge of the Highway Code/Green Cross Code, with previous experience working with children desirable. The post is permanent, part-time (38 weeks per year) with specific morning and afternoon patrols, and includes benefits such as access to training opportunities, discounts, and a provided uniform.
