Job Summary
Consult with faculty and parents regarding students' social emotional and developmental needs while developing and facilitating programs for individual support. Provide 1:1 and small group guidance in the classroom, create individualized learning plans, and administer academic screeners or assessments as required. Maintain and manage yearly ERB testing, conduct developmental screenings for identified students, and make intervention recommendations. Plan parent education programs, coordinate tutor and therapist schedules, and supervise a team of learning specialists. Submit monthly progress reports and consult on transitional first placements. Requires a Master's degree in counseling or related fields, current Texas licensure preferred, and minimum two years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in clinical or counseling psychology, school counseling, social work, or related field
- Minimum two years' experience
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to continually and repetitively use fine motor skills and manual dexterity to grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands for an extended period of time
- Ability to continually and repetitively use large motor skills to bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach above the shoulders
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Desired Qualifications
- Current licensed or associate-level licensed mental health professional in Texas (LPC or LPC-A)
