Job Summary
School Counselor at Rivermont Schools collaborates with educators, families, and clinical teams to support students’ emotional wellness, behavioral growth, and academic success. The role includes organizing caregiver and family participation activities, providing individual and group therapy, overseeing PBIS planning, coordinating with families, schools, and outside agencies, and completing student assessments within thirty days of enrollment with tele-psychiatry coordination as needed. The position emphasizes compassionate care, collaboration, and evidence-based therapeutic support to help students thrive.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or family development
- Active LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license or eligibility for licensure
- Active Mandt certification
- Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, behavioral health, and therapeutic interventions
- Clinical experience supporting children and adolescents in educational or behavioral health settings
