Job Summary

School Counselor at Glenwood Elementary School (10 months) responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive school counseling program aligned with ASCA guidelines to support students' academic, career, and social/emotional development. Activities include leading program planning and implementation, collaborating with administrators, teachers, parents, and community partners, interpreting student data, guiding individual and group counseling, and ensuring effective delivery of services. Requires NC educator license in School Counseling and a Master’s degree in school counseling with internship completion; priors emphasize data-informed planning, policy collaboration, and ongoing program assessment. The role emphasizes direct student services (guidance curriculum, individual planning, preventive and responsive services) with some program management and accountability duties; location in Chapel Hill, NC.

Required Qualifications

  • N.C. An Educator License in School Counseling is required.
  • Master's degree in school counseling from an accredited college or university, OR Master's degree in equivalent field with add-on school counseling licensure required
  • Completion of school counseling internship
