Job Summary
School Counselor responsible for implementing a comprehensive counseling program to support students' academic achievement, career development, and social-emotional well-being. Responsibilities include advising on academic and career goals, conducting individual and group counseling, delivering classroom guidance aligned with counseling standards, collaborating with teachers and families, analyzing data on attendance and behavior, referring students to mental health resources as needed, coordinating with the 504 team for accommodations, participating in IEP-related activities, assisting with scheduling and student registration, and promoting prevention programs (e.g., bullying and drug/alcohol prevention). Requires NH State Certification as a School Counselor and a Master’s Degree in an education discipline; travel within the district for meetings and district events is noted in duties.
Required Qualifications
- NH State Certification as a School Counselor
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in an education discipline applicable to teaching assignment
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation
