Job Summary
Provide academic, social-emotional, and college/career counseling support to assigned students and families; monitor student progress, engagement, and attendance with proactive outreach and interventions; support MTSS processes, documentation, and referrals to ensure timely supports; collaborate with teachers, academic teams, special education, and leadership through meetings and cross-functional communication; utilize platforms such as LMS, PowerSchool, SchooLinks, email/phone systems, and internal dashboards to track progress and support student success; role balances independent work, collaboration, problem-solving, and execution and suits someone who enjoys supporting students, managing details, communicating clearly, and contributing to systems that improve student outcomes; requires Valid Arizona School Counselor Certification and relevant K-12 counseling experience; preferred experience in online/alternative education and MTSS knowledge, 504, and college/career readiness programming.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Arizona School Counselor Certification and relevant counseling experience in K-12 education
- Strong knowledge of comprehensive school counseling practices, student development, and academic planning
- Excellent communication, organization, and case management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build relationships with students and families while providing proactive, solutions-focused support
- Comfort using student information systems, learning management systems, and data to guide outreach and interventions (PowerSchool, LMS platforms, SchooLinks, Microsoft/Google tools)
