Job Summary
Provide a comprehensive guidance and counseling program for students to support their educational, career, personal, and social development. Responsibilities include conducting developmental guidance lessons, delivering career orientation and exploration activities for elementary students, assisting middle/high school students with career planning, conducting goal-oriented counseling sessions, facilitating staff development and parent/teacher conferences, coordinating with district and community specialists, assisting with student registration and course selection, administering and interpreting district testing programs, advocating for students, planning and evaluating the guidance program, supervising teacher assistants when assigned, and pursuing ongoing professional growth. Requires ability to maintain confidentiality and to communicate clearly with students, parents, and school personnel. Ten-month contract with salary based on state scale.
Required Qualifications
- A master’s degree or higher in counselor education
- Licensure as a school counselor
- Alternatives acceptable per Board (as applicable)
