Job Summary
Responsible for the safe transportation of students from pickup sites to final destinations. Essential functions include daily vehicle checks, route management, compliance with safety protocols, and maintaining communication with the office. The driver must interact effectively with students, parents, and school officials, providing exceptional customer service. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and relevant certifications such as First Aid and CPR. The position requires adherence to safety regulations and may involve flexible working hours.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean Hawaii Driver History Record
- First Aid, CPR Certified
- Pass DDC (Defensive Driving Course)
- Able to pass a DOT physical
- Minimum age to drive – 21 years old
- Ability to read and interpret documents including safety rules and procedure manuals
- Ability to upgrade to CDL
Additional Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years old
- Must meet/adhere to all requirements of FMCSA, DOT, FTA and DOE as applicable
