Job Summary
The School Bus SPED Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of students to their final destinations while ensuring vehicle reliability and service excellence. The position involves daily communication with the office, performing vehicle pre-checks, and compliance with safety regulations. Drivers must wear uniforms and maintain a clean workplace. Effective communication with school officials and parents is essential. Required qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and the ability to pass a DOT physical. The position offers part-time hours with a starting pay of $25 per hour, plus a $500 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean Hawaii Driver History Record and Criminal Abstract
- Minimum age to drive – 21 years old
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Able to pass a DOT physical
- Minimum of 18 years old
Desired Qualifications
- First Aid, CPR Certified
- Pass DDC (Defensive Driving Course)
- Ability to upgrade to CDL
