Job Summary
Assist the bus driver in providing a safe journey by helping students board and exit, ensuring they remain seated, and communicating to maintain a calm ride. Provide care and encouragement to students, including those with special needs, while performing emergency procedures and adhering to safety rules. Work flexible split shifts on weekdays only, requiring physical ability and strong communication skills. English proficiency is required for all safety communications and DOT regulations.
Required Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible split shifts (AM/PM)
- Physical ability to assist students and perform emergency procedures
- Friendly, reliable, and patient working with children
- Team-oriented with a focus on safety
- English proficiency
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- CPR/First Aid certification
